ActOUT! was formed as a creative home and theatre training centre for young bodies, minds and spirits. Training aspiring and skilled actors 5-17 years of age, the company evolved to allow skilled, talented and developing young actors opportunities to perform in professional quality productions. After a quarter century, actOUT! KW has produced 60+ plays.

We seek high-energy, self motivated individuals with experience in theatre and drama and/or experience working with children. The right candidate would have experience in musical theatre and stage productions. Stage direction, producing, lighting, choreography, music, and dance are all assets.

What to expect:

Our part-time contract positions are perfect for candidates looking to broaden their careers and experience in theatre production. Staff/Crew should expect to:

  • be part of youth productions: shortened versions of popular musicals and/or youth-appropriate scripts

  • have hours primarily in the evenings and on weekends

  • potentially have increased hours during Show Week if working on a production (Stage Managers will be required to work Show Week for move-in, rehearsals, performances, and strike)

  • work directly with children/youth ages 5-17, age will vary depending on the production or class/workshop

  • work with and be supported by volunteers and volunteer assistants
