Volunteers help make the actOUT! world go 'round.

From assistants to ushers, to set construction and painting, costume crew, stage crew, prop managers, camp assistants, videographers... the list is endless!

actOUT! is currently seeking:

Show Volunteers
- Something Rotten! JR
  - Show Week Volunteers: Dec 15-20, 2025 (14+, or 12+ if volunteering with a parent)
    - Backstage Assistance during performances
    - Front of House: ushers, box office, concessions
    - Volunteers are not required to work at all performances; schedules are flexible
- Treasure Island
  - Assistant Director (15+)
  - Volunteers interested in working on costumes, props, sets, etc
  - Show Week Volunteers: Feb 16-21, 2026 (14+, or 12+ if volunteering with a parent)
    - Front of House: ushers, box office, concessions
    - Backstage: props, stagehands, costuming
    - Volunteers are not required to work at all performances; schedules are flexible
- Legally Blonde
  - Assistant Director (15+), Feb-May 2026
  - Assistant Stage Manager (15+), Feb-May 2026
  - Volunteers interested in working on costumes, props, sets, etc
  - Show Week Volunteers: May 4-9, 2026 (14+, or 12+ if volunteering with a parent)
    - Front of House: ushers, box office, concessions
    - Backstage: props, stagehands, costuming
    - Volunteers are not required to work at all performances; schedules are flexible
Class Volunteers
- Class Assistants, January - March 2026
  - Mini Play Theatre Class Assistant (14+), Sundays 10:30-Noon
  - Acting Adventures and/or Theatre Skills Class Assistant (14+), Fridays 5:45-7 and/or 7:15-8:30
Camp Volunteers
- March Break Volunteers, March 16-20, 2026
Organization Volunteers
- Board level (18+)
  - Directors: serving in an official capacity as a Board member
  - Board Assistants: Positions working on specific organizational needs.
    - Advertising
    - Social Media Management
    - Fundraising
    - Event Planning
    - Web Design/Maintenance
- Costuming (16+)
  - organizing and labelling
  - mending (fixing seams, replacing zippers, etc)
  - creating new or replacement pieces (sewing a cloak, for example)
- Props (16+)
  - organizing and labelling
  - building, painting/refinishing, or fixing items
Event Volunteers
- No events to post at this time

Please note: All volunteers 18+ in contact with our participants must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check. actOUT! will provide a letter for this process. This does not apply to volunteers in roles such as usher, box office, concessions, etc. Volunteers who work on costumes, props, and sets do not require a check unless in direct contact with our young participants (for example, fitting or helping with costume changes).
