COMMITMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

If an actor will be missing several weeks of rehearsals or any time during Show Week, they should not register for the program. Show Week for this production requires one weekday performance.

Be a part of this hilarious version of the classic tale Treasure Island.
Jim Hawkins and his widowed mother run an old inn. A pirate on the run stays at the inn, befriending Jim and pressing into the lad's hand a tattered and torn piece of paper. When a band of cut-throat pirates shows up soon after, feverishly searching for what Jim's been given, Jim realizes that he has a secret map to a buried treasure! He quickly sets off on his own adventure. Unfortunately, the crew he sets sail with are not sailors, but pirates captained by peg-legged Long John Silver. Forced to work together, their journey in search of the mysterious treasure takes several dramatic and hilarious turns. Be prepared for a swashbuckling good time!
This breathtaking tale is told by two hilarious narrators who, at times, become part of the play's fast-moving action. With a large cast of many characters, our young performers will have a blast learning comedic acting and introductory-level stage combat.
Treasure Island is to be presented through special arrangement with Heuer Publishing.
