One-Act Comedy
How To Get Away With A Murder Mystery
Ages 11*-17
Our one-acts are chosen to give new or busy actors a shorter rehearsal period and shorter Show Week in the spring. This program begin with group bonding activities and cast early. All enrolled participants will be cast. The Director may choose to double-cast if we have a large cast. We want all participants to have fun and grow as part of their experience! This is a great first production for new actors.
Note: We do not audition for entry to this program. All registrants will be accepted provided payment has been received, or payment arrangements have been made, and the participant and their parent/legal guardian have completed our online Info Form/Waiver and signed our Actor’s Agreement. We strive to provide a welcoming and safe environment to all children and youth regardless of gender, sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, neurodiversity, and physical ability.

COMMITMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
Attendance is an important part of the rehearsal process, especially for this production. Actors work as an ensemble and rely on one another to be there. If an actor will be missing multiple rehearsals or any time during Show Week, they should not register for the program. Show Week for this production does not require any weekday rehearsals/performances.

Can you stop laughing long enough to get away with murder?
Five mysterious color-coded guests. A mansion. A murder. Can the killer get away with it? And how will the sleuths bring them to justice?
A handy guide for how to escape the law when you just happen to be a prime suspect of a mysterious murder. This show hilariously skewers the tropes of the murder mystery: an airtight alibi, a long-winded monologue by a detective with an accent, an impossibly complicated Rube Goldberg murder device? Check, check, and check!
How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery is to be presented through special arrangement with Playscripts Inc.
