actOUT! is the place to go in the Waterloo Region for non-competitive theatre experiences for children in the theatre arts. Every actOUT! program is designed with fun in mind. We build confidence in young people through dramatic play, theatrical activities, and a supportive, inclusive environment. actOUT! welcomes children and youth from diverse backgrounds.
Improv Academy
Ages: 8-12 years
At Improv Academy, actors will have a blast experimenting on stage, learning and practicing core Improv skills.

Roll with unexpected scene choices!
Master the Yes, and… reaction!
Actors will develop their ability to work together on stage in exciting ways. There will be a short performance at the end of the session.
No experience required - beginners welcome!
Performance: The end-of-session performance will happen during the last class. Actors will be dropped off first to prepare and the show will begin 15-20 minutes later. Family and friends are welcome. Instructors will communicate any additional details if needed.

Participants can join as late as the second class. Class sizes are a maximum of 16.
