actOUT! offers a great opportunity for children to:

ActOUT! is the place to go in the Waterloo Region for non-competitive theatre experiences for children in the theatre arts.
Every actOUT! program is designed with fun in mind. Through theatre games, playful activities, and a supportive, inclusive environment, we build confidence in young people through dramatic play and theatrical activities. We welcome children and youth from diverse backgrounds.
Registration for actOUT! programs is completed via camp monster.
Acting Adventures
Ages: 6-10 years
Want to act but don't know where to start? This fun class will help you build your confidence and give you a foundation in acting. Our actors will explore a variety of theatrical elements, exploring how feelings create an emotional connection in acting (how you feel when you are happy, sad, mad, etc) and learning a safe way to explore them creatively, applying them to performing various characters. Participants will be exploring improv, drama games, and basic script work. There will be a short performance at the end of the session. No experience required!

Theatre Skills
Ages: 8-12 years
Looking for more of a challenge? This class will focus more on character acting, movement, script work, and developing focus on stage. There will be a short performance at the end of the session. Open to beginners.

Improv Academy
Ages: 8-12 years
At Improv Academy, actors will have a blast experimenting on stage, learning and practicing core Improv skills. Be creative! Roll with unexpected scene choices! Master the Yes, but… reaction! Actors will develop their ability to work together on stage in exciting ways. No experience required!
