Annie Jr. CREW CAST

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie, the world-wide phenomenon, was the winner of seven TONY Awards including Best Musical and is now adapted for young performers in Annie JR. The beloved book and score by TONY Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written including "Tomorrow".

Synopsis:  With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Public Curtain rises:  Dec. 11 & 12 @ 6:30 pm, Dec 12 & 13 at 1:30 pm at Registry Theatre, Kitchener.  Tickets:  $5-$18 can be purchased online at www.ticketscene.ca,  tixactoutkw@gmail.com or cash only at the door.

At each public show production we run our“CHANGE to MAKE A CHANGE” collection, where we collect donated change and donate it to other charities.  Very few of us could easily donate large funds to organizations but we can all contribute a little to make a big difference.  For Annie Jr. we’ll be collecting for Paediatric cancer.

“Annie Jr.” is one of four full-scale productions being undertaken during act OUT’s 21st season in Waterloo Region. This season’s other productions, “Around the World in 80 Days with the Yellow Wallpaper”,  “The Giver” , "Into the Woods Jr." plus one mini junior production “Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Kids”  will follow “Annie Jr” in the first half of 2016.
