actOUT! offers a great opportunity for children to:
explore their curiosity about the theatrical arts
build a healthy self-esteem
develop many life-long skills
We work hard to provide a safe, supportive, and positive environment.
ActOUT! is the place to go in the Waterloo Region for non-competitive theatre experiences for children in the theatre arts.
Every actOUT! program is designed with fun in mind. Through theatre games, playful activities, and a supportive, inclusive environment, we build confidence in young people through dramatic play and theatrical activities. We welcome children and youth from diverse backgrounds.
Registration for actOUT! programs is completed via camp monster.
Acting Adventures
Ages: 6-10 years
Want to act but don't know where to start? This fun class will help you build your confidence and give you a foundation in acting. Our actors will explore a variety of theatrical elements, including exploring how feelings create an emotional connection in acting (how you feel when you are happy, sad, mad) and teach participants a safe way to explore them creatively, applying them to performing various characters. Participants will be exploring improv, drama games, and basic script work.
