Singing Basics and Vocal Workout Workshop

10 weeks intensive voice training to help youth develop and strengthen their voices and singing skills.

This class is not style oriented, it will cover general guidelines as well as more advanced perks allowing young singers to fill up their bag of tricks.

The first class will explore vocal anatomy, each of the following classes will be devoted to a certain singing skill: breath/support, sound production, vocal tone, vocal health, finding your registers and cavities, diction, vocal agility, musical phrasing, genres exploration. Every class will include work on a group piece, ear training, harmonies and vocal exercises. The class syllabus might change slightly.

During the 10 weeks of the workshop, we will have 7 classes and 3 masterclasses with private coaching where you get to perform in front of your classmates and get comments from the instructor. Each student will be expected to pick 1-2 pieces to work on throughout the term and perform at the end in front of the class or in the recital.

Olga’s Note: I’m very excited to start working with the young voices, help them shape and advance. We will have fun! Remember: everyone can sing, and vocal cords are just a muscle. I will do my best to guide you through your musical journey!
